About Me

Hi, I’m Sherri, the author and recipe developer behind RecipeShuffle.com.

A lifelong cooking enthusiast, I am the original founder / creator / recipe developer of the food blog, Watch Learn Eat.

After being displaced from Hurricane Ian, I realized it was time for a change, and I decided to sell Watch Learn Eat.

I started Recipe Shuffle out of my obsession for top lists, which began when I was a kid in the 1980s listening to the radio DJ count down the best songs of the year.

Fast forward to the present and now I can make my own digital playlists of my favorite songs, hit shuffle, and listen for hours.

And I love making lists of my favorite recipes too, which is how the name “Recipe Shuffle” came to be. Combining different recipe ideas into one place is kind of like making a playlist, but for recipes instead of songs.

As a wife and mother, I am always looking for new recipes to feed my hungry family. Speaking of my family, we are a mixed-diet household which can sometimes make things challenging.

After visiting with a naturopath to seek alternative treatment for debilitating endometriosis, I gave up dairy, which has been helping tremendously.

Of course, this is my personal experience and not meant to be taken as medical advice. You should always consult a qualified healthcare professional regarding health conditions, concerns and diet.

My husband also avoids dairy as well as gluten due to IBS, but our children don’t have any dietary restrictions.

Sometimes we make two versions of the same meal, and other times we eat entirely different dishes.

I have been interested in learning about food and cooking and having fun / being creating in the kitchen since childhood. And although we eat different ways, we try to cook together as a family as much as possible.

What will I find on Recipe Shuffle?

Let’s face it.

You want choices.

You have several packs of chicken sitting in your fridge and are tired of making the same dish multiple times a week.

Or maybe you’re sick of frozen fries on the side with every meal and need some new side dish inspo.

You might be toying with the idea of trying a new eating style such as keto or plant-based and need some recipes to get you started on your journey.

Perhaps you picked up too many cartons of blueberries at the grocery store during a major sale and you just don’t know what to do with them.

That’s where Recipe Shuffle comes in.

We hope you’ll find some great recipe ideas to make your meal planning experience a little easier.

Happy Cooking!
